ITEP: the Integrated Teacher Education Programme

ITEP replaces the older route of a 3-year degree followed by a 2-year B.Ed. You earn both in four years.

Programmes

• B.A. B.Ed. – arts and humanities with education.
• B.Sc. B.Ed. – science and mathematics with education.
• B.Com. B.Ed. – commerce with education.

School stages

Under NEP 2020, each ITEP seat is approved for a school stage: Foundational (ages 3 to 8), Preparatory (Classes 3 to 5), Middle (Classes 6 to 8) or Secondary (Classes 9 to 12). The stage decides which classes you are trained to teach.
