Story and dialogue
- A good story has a setting, characters, a problem, rising action, a climax and a resolution.
- Dialogue shows character through speech. Each new speaker starts a new line; speech goes inside quotation marks.
Tip
Show, don’t tell: “Her hands shook as she opened the envelope” shows nervousness better than “She was nervous.”
