Types of paragraph

  • Descriptive: creates a picture of a person, place or thing.
  • Narrative: tells events in order.
  • Expository: explains or informs.
  • Argumentative: gives a view and supports it with reasons.

Structure

A good paragraph has a topic sentence, supporting sentences and a concluding sentence, all about one idea.
