Joyful, experiential and art-integrated learning
Approaches that make learning active and meaningful.
Joyful learning
Learning is more lasting when children are interested, safe and enjoying themselves: through games, stories, songs, puzzles and play.
Experiential learning
Learning by doing and reflecting. Kolb’s cycle: concrete experience → reflective observation → abstract conceptualisation → active experimentation. NEP 2020 recommends experiential, hands-on learning at all stages.
Art-integrated learning
Using art forms (drawing, music, dance, theatre, craft) to teach any subject, for example learning about a state through its folk art. NEP 2020 and NCERT promote art-integrated learning.
